First Question

Why is it when you are waiting on an email from someone about something semi-important that either they dont respond quickly or that the email takes forever to get to you?

Sigh Sigh Sigh

So I went to work today. Found out that my profile did not get changed so I will still be attempting the bike test. Dont know how good Ill do but I did practice for it today. I was on a stationary bike (like the test) I got up to level 14 for a few minutes and my heart rate stayed about 161. My max is 165 so with that I dont know what my score would be but I would assume it would be better than a 23. So I dont know what my score will be or if I will pass. So after finding out my test wont be till sometime next week I'm just happy knowing I have a little more time to train for it. And the reason for the title just One More Year Till Im Back Home. Sigh oh the wonderful thoughts.

Quick Post

To all my 2 Fans. Sorry but this is going to be a quick post. Not really much has happend since my last blog except for the following. (Still think I dont have lousy doctors? Just wait!) So I went to fill out my pt test form which ask the following questions. 1. Do you have any illness or limitations not listed on a profile? My Answer No. My problem is listed on my profile. 2. Do you have any of the following symptoms? (there are a couple of them that I cant remember but one that applies to me) Dizziness with chest discomfort, dizziness, lightheaded? My answer is Yes. It is unusal to get dizzy when you are taking you child upstairs or for that matter when you cant keep up with your wife and shes pregnant. (Yes shes already had the baby, no shes not pregnant yet, and yes this has been going on since October she was well in her pregnancy and could have completed a marathon before me.). So I was givin a letter to take to my doctor to have signed saying what I could or could not do for the PT test. Now think about this I am currently on a profile saying No High Impact Activities. So then it goes to the base fitness improvement manager and she says that I should only be doing the bike test. No walking or running. So I think OK all I have to do is get my doctor to clear me for the ergo test. Right? Wrong!!! I go to the doctor today (a whole new person) and he says ok well its been going on since October so lets see if there is something that might be nerological that could be causing you to get dizzy. I say OK and then he walks out of the room to look at my chart. Guess who he brings back with him? You guessed it Dr. Cooke and Dr. Holden. (read previouse posts) so of course they say well it just deconditioning so you should be fine to take your PT test. I ask for the patient advocate and she comes in and doesnt say a word. So now I'm physically cleared by 1 Dr. Cooke and 2 Certified PA's (not sure what that means). Come to find out everyone I can make an appointment with works underneath this Dr. Cooke guy. So what am I to do? It is currently unknown at this time. They have post poned my test for tomorrow but they are going to want me to take the full test soon I am asuming. Now if I do that and fail (which I will because I cant run and they wont give me the time to get it back together) They are talking about taking a stripe. That would suck I wouldnt loose that much money but I would loose something that I worked hard for and earned. (I know God had a lot to do with that since I barely passed on my first time testing). I would rather they kick me out then to take the stripe away but I guess a process is a process. So I guess if I go back and they don't find anything else wrong with me then they may or may not talk about a MEB (Medical Examination Board) which would most likly medically discharge me. Not that I would fight it that hard if they said they had wanted it to happen today. I would like to spend my last year in the Air Force since that would be the end of my enlistment. But I guess if God wants me home before that then he'll see that I get there one way or another. So this was a quick post sorry if I didnt cover everything completly. If you have questions just leave them in the comments. Sean

Its FAnd riday

Wow I cant type today. My fingers keep hitting the wrong keys LOL. So today I went to work and had to do a MOC (or practice) if you will PT (physical Training) test. I failed misserably. Now for a little back ground (and Im open for suggestions). I have failed my PT numerous times (not really trying to get better) but none the less in July of last year I changed flights. I had a supervisor that really cared about me working out and his protege also cared. So they took me under their wings and I began to workout. First we decided I should work out 2 times a day 5 days a week. So it began. (By the way this is all after my first failure in this flight). So it is now the middle of October and I had been doing the 2 times a day 5 days a week thing for almost three months but its again time for a MOC PT test. (A pt test consists of a 1.5 mile run 1 minute of push-ups and 1 minute of sit-ups with an abdominal tape measure.) So the first thing we start with is the abdominal tape test. My tape is 39". (I know its big but for me it was a big improvement). Then the pushups out of a needed 55 I fell 11 short and did 44. Next is the sit-ups out of the nearly 60 needed I did all of them. Perfect score for those. Now its time for my run. (The main event. I should add here that the score is determined because they set a numerical value to each part of the test. The run is worth 50 points (have to have less than 9:39 for the whole run) The abdominal measurement is worth 30 points (a perfect 32" waist for the guys is what they are looking for) The Push-ups and sit-ups is worth 10 points each (you dont get extra points if you do better than the recommened). So I run my fastest time ever. I did a 13:25 run. (No land record but extremely fast for me). What was my total score you ask? It wasn an oustanding 73.5. To pass the PT test you need at least a 75 or better. I was a point and a half a way. (Man that hurts my feelings). So its only a MOC TEST OK well the next week I get sick (common cold) then the week after that I am suppose to test. So I go and do a few push-ups and I feel something is wrong (not only did I do less than thirty but I just felt bad) so I stopped my test and went to the urgent care center on base. Get treated for dehydration, and have a slew of blood tests taken. Well they put me on a profile (a limitation of what you can do at PT) and told me to make a follow up with my doctor. So I did and the Dr I got was Dr Cooke. Now he said that it was just deconditioning but wanted me to take a stress test and set me on another profile. So I call the lab to schedule my stress test and they tell me they have nothing open. So I call the nurse and tell her my profile is going to expire and I cant get a stress test like the Dr wanted. So she makes an appointment for me to get a stress test done. I report back to Dr Cooke and he sends his Technician (person who takes the blood pressure) in and has him ask me what type of test I would like to have run. I basically told him I wasnt a DR but I wanted to know why I couldnt work out without getting dizzy. (I had tried several times and it didnt get better). So Dr Cooke came in again and said basically I wasnt able to work out because of my weight. Then he got up and walked out of the room so I did the same thing. That day I wrote to the patient advocate stating everything that happened. Then I saw Dr. Brewer who signed me up for an Cardio Echo ( basically an ultra-sound of my heart.) It was really cool to see the pictures. (Oh by the way during this time they keep putting me on profiles.) So then he deploys and I have to see a new Dr. Dr Holden and she sits down and tells me about my echo says its normal. Then she states that we could do some pulaminary tests (tests on the lungs). But first she wants to get a second opion and who does she choose but Dr. Cooke (yes the same one I wrote a review about). Then she says (on his advice) I just need to start working out again. So she puts me on a profile but says that I can do the bike test. Meaning I have to do all the other stuff except for the 1.5 mile Ill ride a bike for 8 minutes and it calculates how fast oxygen (VO2) gets to my legs and back. So I practiced this today and the tester told me to have a shot at passing I would need the mid thirties well my score today was 23. Now I have to test in a week. Any suggestions?

So today was my second day back at work and admittedly I have forgotten some stuff but its coming back pretty quick. I can't wait till next year because then ill be getting out of the airforce. I have enjoyed most of my time in but it is my time to leave. I hope to become a police officer but I don't know what ill end up doing. Any way enough about that today is Tuesday so that means it was CG night tonight we didn't really discuss anything but instead we played apples to apples which is a really fun party game. Anyway its my bedtime so I can go to the gym in the morning. Till next time. Sean

First Day Back at Work

So today was my first day back at work. Not sure what to think yet. As I did go to the gym at 0530 this morning. (It was so hard to get up it wasnt even funny. I still havent figured out how I did it yet). Then I get to work. Since I was on leave my squadron changed buildings. I had a new desk and chair. Same very slow computer and all my stuff was in a huge box. Not that I have that much stuff at my desk but it was way big of a box for my little bit of stuff. So I set my desk up and played with the phone. Since we moved into the new building we got these really cool phones on our desk. They are Cisco but we cant do to much with them. I changed the ringtone and taught some people in the office how to transfer. So then by the time I had all my stuff on the desk and in the drawers and what not it was lunch time. So I went to lunch came back and started on the over 700 emails. Now my box cut off at 400 or so but they kept allowing some to come in. It was funny so after going through all of those I did a little computer based training and the started to work. Then a couple of hours later it was time for me to go home. Needless to say some of my passwords were expired because I had not logged in, in over a month. But all is well for the first day. Well see what tomorrow brings.

a nothin day

So today was a never mind type day. We went to the 1055 service this morning and listened to the story Of the four lepros' guys that are outside the city with the famine it was an awesome service. Then we went to charlies subs which was good but a bad idea since we had to use credit to get it. Then we went to our neighbors house (yes we go there a lot because we like to hang out with them) so we went there right at dinner time. Then we all went for a walk. It was a lot of fun walking with 3 adults 1 kid riding a bike one walking and one in a stroller. Then we came home and I blogged from my phone about it. Tomorrows blog will be fun because it'll be my first day back at work. So please check back!

Spit Up the Truth

So as my title states, this is a post all about Spit up. OK not all about spit up but some of it is. We were over at our Neighbors house today (we didn't have the yard sale because it was suppose to rain (even though it didn't). So were watching a really good movie Fire Proof. I thought it was awesome even though its a "religious" movie it was really good and I would recommend it for those who have not seen it. So I'm there and my wife has the baby trying to burp him. Then she gets a little spit up on her shirt. No big deal I know the drill take the baby try to burp him some more while she gets cleaned up. So she wiping the spit up off and I'm burping the baby when he lets out this grownup size burp followed by the sicking uhhgkk (the noise that you make when you have indigestion and it comes up but goes down to fast for you to spit it out). Well I take a look at my shoulder and it is covered with the white chunky spit up. All down my back too. It was so bad I had to ask my neighbor for shirt to borrow. All he has clean is a muscle shirt. I guess you cant get the whole image of this shirt until I tell you I have almost no muscle I have extra baggage that I cant get rid of. While I am over weight and by medical I am Obese (I spell checked this but not sure if it right or not) I don't think I'm really that bad. So I put on the shirt knowing I don't look good in and raise my arms. Low and behold I'm wearing a midriff. Yep to all the people who wanted the image. So about this movie fireproof I wont tell to much about it if you haven't seen it because I don't like it when some one tells me all about a movie. I like to go to a movie just because I haven't seen it or heard all the good parts about it. Any way Its about a guy who is trying to save his marriage and learns about God. That's all I'm saying. Oh yeah I also cleaned out half the garage today. I'm kind of glad we didnt have the yardsale yet cause I'm still finding stuff to sell.

An almost lost day

So as most people that know me know I have been on leave for a little over Six weeks. As time passes most time quickly and quietly, I dont always know exactly what day it is. When I awoke this morning to a phone call from our neighbors (wanting to know if I could watch the kids while one was at work and the other had an emergency appt.) I thought it was Thursday (which it was) (oh and of course I watched their kids). Well I came home almost an hour later and took a nap. Alright I went to sleep again like it was night time. So I awake again come downstairs and eat a bowl of cereal. Check my email not expecting much and read this. Dearest Patrons of the Chapael of The Friday Celebration, I am writing to you to wish you a happy Diet Friday. I am well aware that today isn't really Friday. So it's not quite as good as the real thing. But isn't that how diet soda is when compared to the real thing...close...but just not quite as good. So happy diet Friday to all and to all a good bite (as in I hope your lunch is awesome). Posted by a friend that got me to think about blogging all together. Well at first glance at the title I thought wow I slept all of Thursday and this is friday afternoon. Now my neighbors and I are have a yardsale this weekend so you can see how much work it would be to realize you had to do everything in only a few short hours. On top of that I have to get my brain thinking that I have to go to work on Monday. BOO!!! I dont like the idea. I wish I could get paid for watching my own kid and having a wonderful wife. But since I cant I guess I must return back to work. So with all of this going through my mind I second guess my self then continue to read the rest of the post to realize I was quite right and it was only Thursday. So besides sleeping and watching my neighbors kids, what did I spend my time doing? Did you guess mentally preparing for Monday? Your Wrong. Did you guess Preparing for the yardsale? Wrong Again. Did you guess I sat around and did nothing the entire day worth mentioning? Absolutly Correct.

Ethics Question

In my apartment complex we have big collection day on the last friday of the month. Basically they want us to save the Big Items like TV's and other furniture until then. Once the day comes we put them out on this little Island in the middle of the parking lot and wait for the trash man to pick them up. Well we are having a yardsale next week end. I woke up early today (cause the baby was hungry) but I rolled the trash to the sidewalk. My neighbor was out there and was throwing away a rough looking crafts table. I asked if I could have it and of course she said yes. I mean why not she didnt want it and was throwing it away. Well when I took it from her I saw two TV's in the pile. I asked her if they worked and she said they were not hers. So I brought them in my Garage to see if they work (still havent done that yet). So here is the question: If the TV's work is it ethical for me to sale them at my yardsale? Please leave any comments before this Saturday.

Tonights Post

Well tonight I started to type my blog from my cell phone. (My new one with internet access and email and all) when i hit the wrong button and lost my post. So here I am now trying to remember everything I was going to say. First I dont spell well so if you see something spelt wrong feel free to tell me but I might not remember. Also I dont use the spell check on my blog. So I really dont care. If it bothers you let me know. Second my ethics question from earlier today was easily solved. Neither TV worked. I refuse to sell something that doesnt work and most people wont fix. However I think it would be OK for me to have sold the TV's since they were out in the trash. I think that would mean the person didnt want them and that they didnt care what happened to it. As i was typing on my cell phone I was watching a TV series called the Red Planet. Basically its a guy who goes into a coma in 2008 and wakes up as an adult in like 1975 or something close to it. Im not that big of a fan but to watch a show here and there is fun. Our neighbor's (who are close friends) really like it alot and it was on while we were there tonight. We are getting ready for a yardsale this weekend (if it doesnt rain). The baby was sleeping well so when we got home I put him straight down hoping he will stay asleep all night. Well that concludes todays blog Please stayed tuned to this URL for more random blurps. (If you want to email my cell phone (Friends only) ask for the email address.) Draft was accidently saved on Tuesday day this is Wednesday night post. Sorry for the inconveince

Community Group and Other Events

First to my currently one and only reader I would like to appologize for not Blogging yesterday. With that said here is what I would have typed yesterday. I was so stoked when my phone arrived today at around six o clock in the afternoon. I had waited all day for it and now it's here. So I open the box put the battery in. Hook it up and wait for it to charge. While I add the software to my computer and read the instruction manuel. Pretty dry and boring with no zing. Phone is charged (Yay) go to follow the directions and wa la they dont tell me what i want to do like add a contact. No here on the new Blackberry Pearl 8130 it has to be an Address book. THis is pretty cool though cause I can back it up on my computer. The bad news I have to type every contact in. (Still havnt finished) Then set up my email. (Didnt need the book for that its part of the phone activation software. So thats about all i did yesterday. Waited on a phone to come fedex and set it up. For todays blog I had a blast at Community Group. (Always do) I never want to leave from the group and come home. Me and Amanda are always looking for something to do afterward. Today we stopped at sonic and got some food. Then we hurried home cause Johnathan was hungry. If your wondering what is said in CG stays in CG. However I might put some of the topics up like last week we talked about self image. It made me wonder how people see me. How I want people to see me and if they are not the same how can I change it. Through rest of the week I kept thinking some people might see me as a show off or a person who has to have the best or something. This has really been on my mide this week. I recently had to trade in my Jeep because my newborn carseat would not fit in there with the stroller. Also in the Neon (paid of piece of Junk Car) the stroller had to be in the back seat right beside the carseat. So we went on line to look for a Hybrid found one realitvly cheap and bought it. But it was all I could talk about for a few weeks. I still love to drive it but if we had bought a cheaper car it might have been more afordable. But today I went to work (wondering if this is a sign we made a good purchase) I havent been to work in six weeks. My squadron recently switched buildings and when I drove there today they have 6 or 7 spots that are Reserved for Hybrids only. Anyway I guess thats all for tonight I'm trying to watch TV and eat and blogg. Its not working well. Till next time.

My First Blog

Somethings you wont see in my umm Ultra Short Bio is I continually start a small project, then make it a huge project, then not do anything for awhile. Case in point I cant remember the last time I checked my MySpace account. With that being said I can only say I will try to add a blog a week. Make that at first I will add a blog a day and then it will be a week and sometime down the road every couple a weeks then once a month and so on and so on till I wont add anything anymore. With that being said and this is my first blog here goes what I plan to post today. First my bragging rights about a new thing. Yeah I started a blog. Now let me appologize if anyone actually finds this blog and makes a friend read it. I do still common words from people like a growing friend Scott. Thanks for the word Stoked. I will be using it tomorrow. But that comes tomorrow for today I'm just trying to find out if I can even blog. LOL.
